▸ INFORMATION: Shiro was the pilot of a deep-space exploration mission when his team made first contact with alien life through being captured by the Galra Empire. After a year of imprisonment, torture and experimentation, Shiro escaped back to Earth and through a complex chain of events became the Black Paladin of Voltron, the field commander of a five-person strike team of mecha lions that can combine into a larger, bipedal mecha (the titular Voltron). Now committed to freeing the universe from the Empire's grasp, Shiro and his team were in the middle of a mecha-to-mecha battle with Emperor Voltron when Hathaway's agents came calling for him.
