As a young adult, Amado and his girlfriend Ren found themselves stranded in the Reverse Worlds with no way to return to Earth. They've made something of a him for themselves there and have a daughter, Ivy, but Amado's overriding focus is to find a way for them to return home. Normally gruff and reserved, Amado can and does come off as a dour person but not far beneath the surface, there's a kind person who believes, strongly, that if you can help others, you should.
